At first things were just weird but made sense in a completely insane and ~*~supernatural~*~ way. :|a He was cranky and irritated about the idea of being yanked away from his wife for world saving duty untiiiil Riful (I think?) brought up the idea that this world could be the same as his own and made the comparison of one woman vs an entire world. And that made sense! He can understand the reasoning and go along with it.
But then he had another talk with Ryner about exactly how games to save the world works. Ryner'd been to five games, and to Bobby five games to get this spit of forest is waaaaay too slow for him to hope to get a world saved before even people half his age are deader than dirt. :| He doesn't understand why they have to compete instead of working in unity either. It's an inefficient backwards way of saving the world as far as he can see and he doesn't like it. >8|
People are okay though. :|a Everyone he's run into has been pretty helpful and forthcoming with what they know, and some of them are pretty cute. He's definitely surprised to see so many kids and generally young people around. It's another thing he wouldn't really expect to see in people supposed to be saving the world.
RIGHT SO. Mukuro . . . doesn't really like Dera, at least not in the same sense that he likes Ahiru or whatever. He doesn't get enjoyment out of day to day conversations with Dera and in general he has a bit of an exasperated feeling towards Dera -- like he didn't get the omgtenthsocool thing at all and was just like WELL WHATEVER FLOATS YOUR BOAT.
BUT. Out of the people in Ruby he feels like Dera has a better understanding of his personality and that they could align on certain subjects! Mukuro likes Ahiru better but he is pretty sure moeduck doesn't understand vengeance and terrible things. He is sure that Dera, who might not get it entirely, has a better . . . platform to understand it. And like, after the Peridot thing, Dera was clearly the one on Ruby who got more of how to deal with the situation.
Also if Mukuro got a flamethrower, Dera is the first person on the team he would invite to play with it. THAT IS THE KIND OF RELATIONSHIP WE HAVE!1 Or, how Mukuro . . .sees . . . Dera.
His impression of him isn't terribly strong just yet, but he does get the feeling that Kaworu's a sharp kid. He asks good questions and, even if Bobby doesn't quite agree with some opinions, he can recognize that it's a kind of critical thinking, and he can't fault that so long as it's not actually causing problems. And opposing views aren't always bad anyway. :|a He likes that there's someone else on the team that seems like they'll think things through.
The big thing is Kaworu not knowing what love is. Like Bobby said, it's a basic thing to know! He's totally floored that someone wouldn't know what it is, but at the same time he can't be sure it isn't some side effect of amnesia that he bypassed with his wedding memory. He's unsure! A little worried and a lot confused, but will probably subtly ask around about opinions on love with other people before deciding exactly how he feels on that.
But especially Bobby, because he seems to be the most rational between the two but his interest grew the moment Bobby talked about marrying and love. THEY HAVE DIFFERENT TAKES ON STUFF, but while Kaworu doesn't particularly care about saving the world (any world) Bobby didn't seem to judge him. HE WOULDN'T HAVE CARED IF HE DID, but it was a nice contrast. ANYWAY THE MOST IMPORTANT PART. LOVE IS SUCH A FOREIGN FEELING FOR HIM, but Bobby seems so sure about his understanding of it that Kaworu's been wondering what love is about! In general, Bobby might be a good influence for Kaworu and he's gonna keep poking him.
It's a brand of whiskey :Db I looked up different brands in the low $100s range that he might've had at his wedding and that was the one that sounded most like a name he'd pick.
