Game 6 Fallout
Thoughts on the game and losing sight in one eye as a result!
First things first! It is very important to know that Wrath went into this game wholly believing that it would be nothing more than a game. He's been annoyed and a little angry with the personae before now, but he was thoroughly tied to the thought that they were safe from harm (monsters aside) because they were needed! They're here to save the world! The thought that the attacks would be real never seemed like a real possibility in his mind until the first result.
He didn't really stop to think about Coral again during the game since he was missing an eye and Luke was bleeding from a gut wound and they still had other choices to make, and at that point he was PRETTY CONCERNED with the rule about not being allowed to not play, so that's where his focus went!
And then they stepped out and, once he finally got healed up some, he figured out Coral and Emerald (who they placed points on in the second round) both suffered deaths. :'D
Now Gokudera without any memories is really a pretty average guy, if cranky and a brat. At the start of his life he is just a normal person! He is kind of a big brat, but little kids can be like that. And being a brat doesn't mean he doesn't feel empathy or lack an ability to sympathize or have other normal ethics and morals; he's perfectly capable of it in current canon. (Is GODDAMN APPALLED any time bystanders or noncombatants are injured or otherwise dragged into fighting.) He's just kind of really broken which interferes with his ability to show those traits in most situations.
tl;dr he is a good guy, and right now is a good guy without any of the million issues that would ordinarily make him want to ignore the fuck out of what Ruby decided to do in that game. He is going to feel guilty and IS going to want to do the "right thing" and at least make an attempt at atoning with them, same as many other average human beings. This doesn't mean he's going to go explain what Ruby did to them though. He feels bad, not stupid. :Db
The game also served to solidify what he feels his position in the team is. It felt very natural to him to protect Jacuzzi even if he still doesn't particularly like him. It just seemed like the right thing to do. :|a Likes the protector role a lot even if he doesn't like getting hurt.
And as for how this game will effect how he plays in the future—right now he just wants to do minimal damage while preventing as much damage as he can to his team. He doesn't want to deal with anyone else taking horrible wounds or losing eyes or WORSE D8 And never wants their duckling to have to come to an endgame and see all that horror again.
Speeeeaaaking of eyes, Wrath sure did lose all vision in his left eye. :|a As a result his depth perception is all screwed up so he'll be a lot clumsier while he adjusts. He also will not stand with his left side facing anyone other than Ruby (or maybe Blaze). He hates the fact that he can't see out of it and doesn't understand at all why that hasn't returned when people were able to revive from the dead. \o/ Is a liiiittle in denial that it's actually gone; he's clinging to a hope that it's just healing really, really slowly.
Uhhh idk if there was something I didn't address or not. Am open to questions if I did.
