»He fights with explosives!!
»Tenth is kind of a wuss
»But he is really amazing when he has cause to be *_*
»Talking babies are completely normal
»He is in the mafia and Tenth is the next in line to take over the Vongola Family
»Mafia family is different from traditional families in some day
»He'd have become the boss if he beat Tsuna
»But he didn't really want that :|a Just to test his strength against Tsuna's
»Was more amazed and stunned by being saved in the memory than he is recollecting it
»He works for Tsuna as a result of losing

WHAT THIS DID:

Getting the most hilarious out of the way first; Wrath thinks attempting assassination as a means of testing heirs to mafia organizations is completely normal and acceptable. 8) He doesn't really understand the concept of a mafia entirely yet, but it seemed so completely natural in the memory that he doesn't really question it. The baby said it was okay!!1 (And was also so completely accepted as normal by everyone present in the memory that there's no question over that either :Db). Anyway, assassination is very probably not something that he'll be attempting in Aather (barring terrible terror games changing that, but it'd take a LOT :|a), it's just not a concept he feels is worthy of being wholly condemned. It was an important step in testing the kid who was going to take the reins of the top tier family, the group that pretty much runs EVERYTHING EVER in the mafia world. Making sure he was actually fit to run it was vital!

More importantly, this clears up his reason for loyalty to Tenth and as a result defines for him the kind of person he is. He explained his reason for adoring Tenth pretty clearly in threads with people after he took it: a normal person doesn't save the guy trying to kill them. He tried very hard to land some serious, potentially fatal blows! He said flat-out he was there to kill him! No sane person would have any reason whatsoever to want to save him, but Tsuna did. And even more importantly, Tsuna never attacked him back. The entire scene is simply Tsuna trying to run the fuck away settle things peacefully as far as Dera interpreted it. It also helped that putting out dozens of short fuses before anything blew up is FUCKING AMAZING.

So he realized that Tsuna, for all the faults he'd observed before, is in fact capable of amazing feats and is also an honestly good person. He's someone who, as far as Dera can tell, is in fact wholly capable of handling the intense mafia lifestyle, but also won't abuse his position of power. In canon this is important because Dera's had a lot of experience dealing with people who throw their power around and are generally dicks (or he is in situations where he can only perceive them that way), so meeting someone who was trustworthy and good and wonderful was like every gift giving holiday all rolled up into one brightly colored package and also a puppy. In Aather, Wrath is still pretty confused over why he was so INTENSELY THRILLED since he's missing childhood background, but he does still understand why Tenth is so great. 8D;

This memory also drives home the idea that he is a supporter. He is fucking thrilled to have found a boss to work for. 8D This is something he wants in canon for basically FOREVER so it's another amazing wonderful thing in the memory. While Wrath may not understand it entirely, it's a trait so thoroughly woven into him that he can't help but accept it as the way things should be. Leading just isn't something he really wants to do.

This won't really have too much affect on him in Aather yet aside from making him want to shirk direct leader duties more. And making him care way less about crime being committed (by people he likes). :|a If assassination attempts are acceptable testing methods and good ways to gain subordinates, then why should he give a shit about theft or beatings or anything like that? So long as it's not being committed against people he gives a shit about or innocent bystanders, it's no problem with him. /o/ HOORAY MAFIA OUTLOOK ON LIFE

And then there are Shamal's 62 sisters. I have nothing to say about this except Dera is a moron. :'D And that this memory is only of "knowing" they were his sisters. Realizing the truth is an entirely separate memory.
